Kuantan Rtm station started operating in July 1966 after completion of the emitter station in June.With the completion of this station.a permanent officer was assigned to find the broadcast to be sent to Rtm Kuala Lumpur .Prior to this role only begins when a radio program officers temporarily stationed at the state information Department in 1960 with a view to finding a release for Rtm Kuala Lumpur starting from 1966 to 1973 rtm kuantan station broadcasts channel fuction of the National Network and the Blue Network to the state through the medium wave.
